This Privacy Policy explains how venven (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and mobile apps (the “Service”).

2. Information we collect

You provide directly:

• Account info: email, display name, username, optional avatar and bio.
• Content: events you create, RSVPs, comments, weekly availability, shared-calendar configurations, and responses to shares.
• Invitations: recipient email addresses or phone numbers you enter to send a calendar share.

Collected automatically:

• Approximate or precise location (with your permission) to show nearby events.
• Basic device and usage data needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use information

• To provide core features: events, social follows, and calendar sharing.
• To deliver invitations you send by email or SMS.
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse (including rate limiting).
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.

We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or sell your data.

4. Service providers

We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — authentication and database.
• Cloudflare — hosting and file storage (R2).
• Mapbox — maps.
• Resend — transactional email (calendar invites).
• Telnyx — SMS (calendar invites).
• Stripe — payment processing for bookings, where applicable.

5. Recipients of shared calendars

When you share your calendar, the people you invite can view the availability and event details you chose to include. Anyone with a share link can view that shared information until you revoke or change it.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your profile and username. Some records may persist in backups for a limited period or as required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children

venven is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
